We began working on the FUN-dation in early 2000 and became an official 501(c)(3) in March 2001.  Seven Board Members govern the FUN-dation – all are active participants in the board’s decision making.  We have monthly meetings to discuss upcoming projects.  Our money is raised through the annual CD projects and the “Tim & Willy Christmas Breakfast Show at Night” along with various events throughout the year.

Our mission statement: Tim and Willy Kid’s FUN-dation is a publicly supported foundation with a commitment to improving the quality of life for Arizona’s underprivileged children.

To date we’ve given away about $700,000 to charities such as the Neighborhood Center, MDA Research, SUNS and Diamondbacks Charities, JDRF Jr. Diabetes, Young Life, Rosie’s House, Interfaith Cooperative Ministries, Back to School Clothing Drive Association, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Florence Crittenton Foundation, HopeKids, Child Help and the AZ Kidney Foundation – just to name a few.

The Neighborhood Center is where our main commitment has been in the past nine years.  It is located at 19th Avenue and Fillmore and it offers a safe place for kids in a very impoverished, dangerous neighborhood to find someone who cares.  The Center offers a variety of after school tutoring programs, a number of programs which reward staying in school and making good grades, a food and clothing bank and the FUN-dation Fun Field which is a ball field for all sports that the FUN-dation helped fund with our first donations of $85,000.

This years Tim & Willy’s Christmas Breakfast Show at Night will be held at the Celebrity Theatre on 32nd Street, December 5th, featuring Tim & Willy, the All Earl Band and guest Little Big Town, comedian and many, many more surprise guests.  For tickets go on line to www.celebritytheatre.com and get your tickets now!

Today, the face of poverty isn’t exactly what you’d expect.  More individuals and families than ever before are struggling. Many have never needed help, until now.

Human service agencies across Arizona are trying to keep up with a 60-to-80% increase in assistance requests from individuals and business owners who can’t meet payroll. Food banks are serving more families than ever. More families with children are living on the streets or in their cars.

The Changing Face of Poverty is a statewide campaign created and coordinated by the Arizona Community Action Association to raise awareness of the growing problem and encourage donations of time, money and food.

You Can Help. Donate, even if it’s only $5. The money adds up. Volunteer. Many agencies need your help. Give to a food bank near you.
